In October we went on a car trip to Munich (or München in German). It was so lovely. The city is very nice and we had a lovely time. Although it was really cold, specially for the time of year.

While in Munich we went to one of Munich ’s oldest breweries, the Hofbräuhaus, to have lunch.

The building was very beautiful with lovely details everywhere, including the ceilings.

On our way home we visited Schloss Hohenschwangau, a 19th century palace in southern Germany. It is located in the German village of Hohenschwangau near the town of Füssen in southwestern Bavaria, Germany, very close to the border with Austria.

On our way up to visit the palace there were lots of lovely bushes and trees...

and more ladybugs than I have ever seen in my entire life. On the yellow wall bellow if you look really hard you can see lots of small dots: well those are all ladybugs! It was like that all over the palace. I was fascinated!

However, this region is more famous because of the other palace that sits really close to this one: Schloss Neuschwanstein. The palace has appeared prominently in several movies and was the inspiration for Disneyland's Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Happy 2012!

Once again it has been a while since my last post. It might be a little late to wish you all a Happy 2012! But we're still in January, so here it goes:

I wish everyone a sunny new year. Full of good things and lots of happiness.

The last couple of months were quite busy and I have lots of things to show you. You can see that on a post to follow.
